We Practice diverse areas of law across various Courts and Tribunals. We represent clients before

  • Amongst other Courts and Tribunals, we represent clients before-

  • We represent clients in Mediations and Arbitrations.

- Delhi's District Criminal Courts in matters involving adjudication of Anticipatory/Regular/Interim Bail Applications, Discharge Applications, Revision Petitions, Cheque Dishonour Matters, Examination and Cross-Examination of Witnesses;

- Delhi's District Commercial Courts established under the Commercial Courts Act, 2015;

- Delhi's District Family Courts;

- The Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT), National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) in various matters, including matters pertaining to the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 and Companies Act, 2013;

- The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) in their Service Matters, including drafting of replies and representations for submission to the Disciplinary Authority, or Appeals to the Appellate Authority, at the level of the employer organization itself.

In the present times, there is a significant push for the use of ADR mechanisms like Arbitration, Mediation, Conciliation, Lok Adalat, Outside Court Settlements. The Commercial Acts, 2015, requires the parties at dispute to mandatorily conduct a 'Pre-Litigation Mediation' to be facilitated by Delhi State Legal Services Authority or Delhi Legal Service Authority at the District-Level. In all the District Courts, there is a Mediation Center, and the Delhi High Court provides a State of Art Mediation Center namely 'Samadhaan'.

A proper use of ADR methods would reap multi-dimensional benefits for the legal system. From the perspective of the client, it would result in quick access to justice at a reduced cost, whereas from the broader perspective, it would lead to de-clogging of the judicial backlog.

We
believe that providing proper guidance to clients about the existence and use of the ADR methods for dispute redressal can make a lot of difference in the treatment of these methods as an alternative to litigation. Therefore, subject to the will of the clients, our focus is to first exhaust all the possibilities of resolving the disputes through ADR methods and only press the litigation button in the event of failure of ADR techniques.
